Copper Sulphate Crystals 250g
Copper sulphate is a much safer alternative to nitric acid when etching zinc, steel and aluminium.
For a normal line etching using zinc plates add 100g of copper sulphate crystals to 1L of water. For steel and aluminium, and to speed up the etching process for zinc, add an equal amount of table salt to your solution. For very deep etches, add 200g of copper sulphate to 1L of water. For very fine etches, reduce the amount of copper sulphate powder to 25-50g per litre.
Always wear gloves and safety equipment.
We sell our Copper Sulphate Crystals in a 250g bag.
