Shipping policy

 

Dispatch & Order Processing:

The M.E.S team aims to dispatch all orders within 2–5 business days. If there are delays or an item is unavailable, we will contact you before your order is dispatched.

Pick Up
At checkout, you can select to collect your order from either our M.E.S Fairfield or M.E.S Fitzroy stores

You will receive an email notification when your order is ready to be collected.
A select few items in our shop are not available for delivery, if this is the case for any items in your cart you will be notified in the cart.
   
Shipping
M.E.S dispatch all goods via Australia Post or our courier service (Allied Express).
Freight charges are calculated at checkout and are based on the weight, dimension and delivery location of the package/s.
Once your order has been dispatched you will receive email notification including a Tracking number. 
Please note that white the M.E.S team does everything possible to get your order out to you in a timely manner, some delays are beyond our control.

Paper Sale Period


M.E.S runs our two big Paper Sales in June and November. During this period we receive a high volume of orders and as such dispatch may take longer than usual. Please allow extra time during these months for your order to arrive. If you let us know of any time constraints for delivery our team will do its best to accommodate where possible.


During the M.E.S Paper Sale please refer to the ‘How it Work’s’ section of the sale for our sale specific returns and exchanges policy.


International Shipping


New Zealand: 
Shipping rates to New Zealand are calculated at checkout. Due to special considerations on size and weight  for international shipping some items may not be available to New Zealand customers. 
If you have tried to place an order online and it has not worked, please contact us directly at mes@mes.net.au and we will prepare a custom delivery quote for you where possible.


Rest of the World:
At this time the M.E.S website cannot ship outside of Australia and New Zealand. 
If you wish to have something shipped internationally please contact our team to see if it can be arranged.

Oversized & Damaged Goods


Any items classified as Dangerous Goods or Oversized Goods cannot be shipped via Australia Post and therefore are sent via courier. 
In the case of items being posted by courier we are unable to deliver to PO boxes. Please use a street address only. If a PO Box is listed as the delivery address for oversize or dangerous good items you will be contacted for an alternative address.


Dangerous Goods (DG): 
Items classified as hazardous, corrosive, or flammable require special packing and incur additional costs. 

Oversized Items: 
Any items that exceed 100cm in any direction or weigh more than 20kg are considered oversized. 

Oversized parcels outside standard size and weight limits incur a manual handling fee, calculated automatically at checkout.


Returns & Damaged Items

Change of Mind Returns: 
Returns may be accepted within 30 days of order receipt if goods are in saleable condition. Change of mind goods are to be returned at the buyer’s expense, and pre-approved by senior staff.

Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days from receipt of goods.  To arrange a replacement or refund. In this event, we will ask for photographic documentation and organise for the parcel to be returned to Melbourne Etching Supplies.
