Hahnemuhle 100% Cotton Watercolour Sketchbooks

The Hahnemuhle Watercolour Books are made of 100% cotton rag fibres and they are an absolute must-have for all watercolour artists! As they are the "big brother" to our grey-covered Hahnemuhle watercolour books (200gsm), we are so excited to expand this popular journal range and to bring this highly sought after option to our Australian customers.

The 100% cotton fibres give the paper a natural white tone, an incomparable texture and a high resistance, meaning they can sustain the most delicate of painterly lines and the heaviest of washes. Colour application flows superbly on the natural white paper, with brushes able to slide gently over the surface.

30 sheets of 250gsm paper with a fine-grained surface structure (cold pressed) give artists 60 pages to work on. There is flexibility to work on a single page or across a double spread as both sides of each paper are sized the same.

These books are suitable for all watercolour techniques but they are especially engineered for the wet-on-wet painting technique. Masking pens and masking tapes may also be used and are easily removed leaving no residue on the paper. The use of an eraser is also possible, again, with little to no residue.

A pitch-black, sturdy cover with a black bookmark gives the book the elegance and stability that it needs as an indispensable and practical companion. When not in use, a rubber band closes the book tightly protecting its contents.

The Hahnemuhle 100% Cotton Watercolour sketchbooks are available in both landscape and portrait options, in A6, A5, A4 sizes and in the popular 14x14cm and 19.5x19.5cm square formats.

Like all Hahnemuhle papers, these journals are age-resistant, acid-free and vegan!
