Silk Gampi tissue while not made of silk gets its name from the "silky" feeling of the paper, it is an extremely thin, lightweight (12gsm), shiny and quite translucent. 

This off white, neutral pH tissue is machine made in Japan from 100% gampi (one of the strongest plant fibres) and because of its strength and translucency it is suitable for several fine art & conservation applications, including; chine collé and printmaking applications, collage and craft applications, mending fine art prints, as conservation box lining and as an overlay and interleaving sheet for art prints.
