Raphael 3570 Paris Classic Oil Brush Short Flat

A timeless brush derived from France’s great brush-making tradition, the Paris Classic combines authenticity and perfection. This elegant brush has been popular with even the most demanding artists since the 19th century and is Raphael's most famous brush. It has not changed since then and still offers the same properties of a high-quality fibre (rigorous preparation of “fine white” hog bristles which are boiled three times to ensure perfect spring preparation and long-term artist satisfaction. ), making it a favourite with modern artists.

The hair has a cohesive working nature making each stroke smooth from start to finish. Unlike conventional interlocked bristle, the straight hair has no tendency to split after the stroke.

Founded in Paris in 1793 and owned and operated by the Sauer family since 1859.

Founded in Paris in 1793 and owned and operated by the Sauer family since 1859, Raphaël is the oldest fine art brush maker in Europe. Following the time honored tradition of master and apprentice, the highly skilled craftswomen of Raphaël must train for years before they are ready to produce a Raphaël brush.

The finest hairs and bristles are imported from all over the world and hand sorted to ensure the highest quality. Every brush made by Raphaël is made with the artist in mind.
