Kitakata's resilience makes it a worldwide favourite paper for printmaking, drawing, mixed-media, book-arts and alternative photography. Although listed as "unsized", Kitakata's gampi fibres exhibit natural sizing-like characteristics thus requiring no additional sizing.

Fibers are often skillfully combined yielding washi with highly unique textures and expressive characteristics. All washi in this collection feature 4 feathery deckled edges that add a subtle refinement to finished works.
