Traditionally used to stiffen ink, Magnesium Carbonate can be added in very small amounts until the desired consistency is reached - only a little is needed to add body to an ink and over adding can make the ink dry and crumbly.

This modifier once applied prevents ink spreading and unwanted bleeding resulting in a crisper edge for your prints. Becomes clear when mixed so will not change hue or saturation of your colours. It also reduces gloss of your oil-based inks, giving a more matte or satin finish to the print.  

Magnesium Carbonate can be used across all oil-based printing inks for intaglio, relief and lithography printing

Mix well and keep away from excessive heat.
