Tilt Painting Easel
A large studio easel that works in two positions: upright for painting, or flat for drawing, watercolour and preparing surfaces. In the flat position it’s well suited to applying gesso, size or varnish to stretched linen, where you want the surface level so it dries evenly.
Made from beech with an oiled finish, it holds canvases up to 220 cm. A sliding ratchet system raises and lowers the canvas holder in set steps, so you can reposition work quickly without loosening and retightening knobs. A large storage tray keeps brushes and tools close at hand, and castors make it easy to move around the studio.
