Shina Plywood Plates

Japanese Shina 4mm plywood is renowed for it's fine grain that makes it the perfect surface for wood cut printing and mokuhanga techniques. Carves with ease and prints with a beautiful grain. This surface holds detail and sharp edges well during the print process. Useable on both sides.

To Enhance the natural woodgrain on Shina plywood plates you may try raising the grain by evenly brushing the surface with a brass or steel wire brush, resulting in a more pronounced texture in your prints.
