Whiting Powder
Whiting (Calcium Carbonate) can be used in powder form to polish plates by hand when printing, or can be made into a paste with ammonia to degrease your plate. An equally successful but far more environmentally friendly and safer option is to use Soy Sauce in replacement of cloudy ammonia.
