• Two sheets of polished zinc plate, one showing a mirror like surface and one a more grained surface.
  • An edge of a zinc plate with a white plastic covering being peeled off to reveal the mirror shine underneath.

Polished Zinc Plates 1.0mm

Our newly stocked Polished Zinc Plates, perfect for all forms of etching and drypoint techniques, are 1mm thick. They come coated with an adhesive white plastic on one side to protect the polished surface, with the back of the plate remaining uncoated.

Zinc plates are ideal for all etching and drypoint techniques and can be etched in a Copper Sulphate 'acid' bath.

Zinc is a more economical and softer alternative to copper making it easier to draw into, which is particularly useful for drypoint printing.
