Silk Gampi Tissue 12gsm

Silk Gampi tissue while not made of silk gets its name from the "silky" feeling of the paper, it is an extremely thin, lightweight (12gsm), shiny and quite translucent. 

This off white, neutral pH tissue is machine made in Japan from 100% gampi (one of the strongest plant fibres) and because of its strength and translucency it is suitable for several fine art & conservation applications, including: 

  • Used for chine collé and printmaking applications 
  • Great for collage and craft applications
  • Perfect for mending fine art prints that are torn or have worn surfaces
  • Great conservation box lining for archival storage of valuable artifacts.
  • An excellent overlay and interleaving sheet for art prints
