Pumice powder is a fast acting inexpensive grit that can be used for rosin-less aquatint, or mixed with ammonia to degrease plates.
Pumice powder may also be used as an inert filler for adding texture to primers, paints and mediums. It is a fine grey colour and very absorbent. Mixed into a paste it can be used as a soft abrasive for cutting and polishing.
